🎓💵 Don’t pay out for that $$$$$ course until you’ve done these 4 things. 💵🎓
If an enticing promo for a big ticket program has caught your eye, don’t hit ‘buy’ just yet.
I’ve got some important questions for you to help you decide if this is the right investment for you and your business.
🍰 #1 Is it as good as it looks? 🍰
In most cases you won’t be able to try before you buy, so you’ll have to settle for the next best thing - feedback from others.
Typing the name of the program into Google may yield some reviews. Now do the same in the Facebook search bar and look at what comes up as ‘Posts’ and in ‘Groups’.
Look for balanced reviews from people who are not affiliates. Affiliates can be earning up to 50% commission from every sale they refer. Also be aware that some programs have what is effectively a Non-Disclosure Agreement, barring users from making any negative remarks about the program itself.
💰 #2 How else could you invest this money? 💰
Take the cost of the course and make a spending plan for that amount of money. What books could you buy? Coaching? Facebook ads? Software? Stop asking yourself ‘should I buy this program’, and switch to asking ‘What’s the best way to invest $$$$ in my business?’
Spend some time researching books on the subject - like this list of copywriting books. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve researched a big-ticket program and discovered the entrepreneur has already published a book covering very similar content. You may read the book, and love it so much that you decide to sign-up to the program anyway. Or you might read it, get everything you need and save yourself $993.50.
💪 #3 Are you going to follow this through? 💪
Be realistic about yourself - are you actually going to follow, engage and implement the program? Do you have time for this? Do you already have a small menagerie of training resources gathering dust on your virtual bookshelf?
😱 #4 What are you afraid of? 😱
Somewhere, lurking behind your desire to buy, is fear. It may be fear that everyone else is going to join and be having a great ol’ party while you’re at home in your pjs watching Netflix (actually, I’d prefer that to a party). Or maybe you’re scared this program is the ONE big thing that’s going to transform your business and you’re going to miss your only shot at success. List what you’re scared of. And what you’re excited about. One list doesn’t need to be bigger than the other. But you do need to be honest with yourself about what’s driving your desire to buy.
