Welcome intrepid business-builder

This page (and the rest of my website) may be interesting to you if your business is based around selling your expertise, which means…

You’ve figured out how to monetize what you are good at.

You have skills, knowledge, experience, talents, and/or abilities that other people/businesses value and will pay for you.

And… You’ve made the courageous and liberating decision to set up all on your own-self, creating a business based around selling that expertise as any (or all) of the following:

  • 1-1 services – sold by the hour, as custom quoted gigs, retainers or packaged up as particular deliverables
  • Group programmes
  • Self-study courses
  • Masterminds
  • Memberships
  • Other info products like e-books

So firstly, let’s just take a moment to acknowledge how flipping fabulous that is!

You have unlocked freedom and flexibility that many mortals can only dream of.

OK, now, let’s get to the juicy bit…

How I can help you sell more of those things with more fun, ease and even joy – honestly really, selling can be enjoyable.

Hello there, I’m Laura

Born and bred Essex girl with a penchant for wordsmithery, an addiction to anything story-related (books, films, TV shows) and a deep-rooted need to listen to the sea at least once a week. Oh, and the bit you probably care most about – I’m a marketing mentor for expertise-based businesses (which, we have just established, includes you).

I have business, marketing and copywriting qualifications up the wazoo and 20+ years of experience in marketing and communications, and I’ve been featured in these places:

Laura from Worditude
Featured in She Means Business, Enterprise Nation, ATOMIC and more

You can get the full glorious backstory (including why my business is called ‘Worditude’) over on my imaginatively monikered About page.

The quickest way to get to know me is to listen to me talk about things I’m excited about:

“I can trust Laura and her courses/recordings/Q&As/whatever to be grounded, sensible, hopeful, encouraging, not make me feel stupid/lazy/behind/out of synch.”

Got something that isn’t getting the sales it deserves?

For more than 10 years, I’ve been responding to the distress signals from online business owners who have a service/package/program/course that just isn’t selling the way they thought it would.

Sales Sleuth lays out the 9 investigations I make to discover what’s going on, and how to fix it.
